Testing coolant with a multimeter

Hi gang,

Stumbled across this by accident, has anyone ever used this method?

I was searching for a glycol tester and found the link, my scientific knowledge of this subject isnt good enough to know if this is foolproof or just a vague indication of coolant state.

Cheers

This just checks for stray current, which can accelerate galvanic corrosion. You can buy cheap units to measure the specific gravity (under $30), or spend a bit more on a refractometer (under $100).
