What is this??

Postby honeyiboughtamitsi on Mon Oct 31, 2016 9:44 am

I noticed there was a leak underneath my MN 2011 Triton 4x4 and I had a look underneath and noticed that there is an open pipe with a clearish water like liquid coming out of it. I couldn't see a place that it would connect to. What is it?? I posted a picture to see.

It's the front propshaft universal joint cooler. When the universal gets hot, it directs water from the washer bottle onto the propshaft. It then runs down the propshaft and cools the universal. If it gets blocked, the vehicle will stay in 2WD.
