Changing Oil - Just checking

I have never changed the oil in a diesel with a turbo so before i go ahead and do it i just want to makesure of a few things

* Is it true i have to drain both crank and oil cooler
* Does the oil cooler take same oil as crank


I know very silly questions but i read book and noticed a oil cooler which is changed when you change crank oil and went what the

I've been changing oil for over 30yrs - never changed oil in a cooler yet. Only ever replaced them on a cronic engine failure. Sump plug & filter is all you have to worry about warnzie
