Just need dealer cost

Have a read through the foregoing, mate. The Forum Directory is neither elusive, nor illusive, containing answers to many of your questions; one could say almost illuminative. ;)

Can some one say what items get done?

What is actually involved

Is it oil and filter or other things

The items to be done at each service are listed in your Service Handbook.

My friend you either assume you are extremely smart or every one around you is really dumb.

To me you simply sound like a pathetic looser on a power trip.

Instead of answering question you find it enriching to be a smart ass. Like the kids at th school.

If I had a hand book I would not ask. If you don't have anything to contribute don't waist your valuable breath replying .

My main 2 questions cost as of 2015 at dealer and items needed to be done.

This post is fairly old so has little relevance and does not explain what needs doing

I just had my 75k done. Replaced the front inner CV Boots, Splash Guards, brake pads and trouble shoot an error code which turned out to be a blown hose to the Turbo. Got it for the bargain price of $1700.00

The triton breaks suck. My previous rodeo I sold at 100k with 80% left on the pads. Triton needed replacing at 60k. I assume a combination of a grippier pad (read as wears easily) and the no engine bottom end which has very little engine breaking. Anyone replaced pads with a non genuine set that is longer lasting?

Lots of people are too lazy to read the handbook. It is the definitive answer to what needs to be done. Internet advise is often just opinions.

Cost. Ring three places get three quotes.

Be wary of independents who charge a lot less than dealer. Do they do all? I doubt valves get done when they charge $295 ) I have seen that price for so called services including valve adjustment)

A good place to start re cost

I got my car back yesterday from the 75 000km service, they do valve clearances and it takes ages. I also had an issue with my brakes but I dropped off my car at 8am and it wasn't ready until after 6pm. Cost for me was $650 but I was quoted $700 ish, end up cheaper because I was waiting around for over an hour.

SQL is awesome :D

my brakes still suck (new parts coming) :|

It might help if we even knew what model car we were talking about. They changed the service intervals for valve clearances half way through the MN model for example so it would depend what year we're talking about.

As for assuming people are dumb, well as said above by someone else it is surprisingly common for people to ask here or on Facebook when they already have the service handbook in their glovebox. Or what fuse relates to the radio when it is embossed on the fuse cover. Or what offset their own rims are when it is stamped on the rim. And so on and so forth.

Your own example of asking about a service without telling us the year model of your car, or where you are located, or that you are missing your own service handbook doesn't exactly paint you in the best light. Nor does attacking a moderator of a forum you've only just joined for a perfectly reasonable response.

Mate, you need to lose the agro and learn to communicate a bit better.... ;) "N4th5th" gave you the -BEST- answer to your question ie, "the logbook". He's also not a "mind-reader". You, made no mention at all, of not having, a logbook...!
You also made no mention at all, of -anything- that might actually enable anyone on this Forum to help you with your enquiry, like what model and year and engine type and drive type you're talking about, because -all- of those things will affect just what items need inclusion, in your 75,000 Kms service. Most folks on this Forum will go out of their way to try and help you but you also need to be prepared to "search" the Threads for the info yourself and also provide -enough- information about just what your issue is in the first place.... ;)

I'll tell you shortly, The reason my service costs so much, is in a previous life my 2011 MN was a fleet vehicle, so I don't get capped price servicing. In order to get my service done in a timely manner and keep costs down, they used aftermarket brake pads and CV boots. So that dropped the end price. So in another 65,000km or hopefully more I will have an answer on the pads. :D

I think you will find that the cheap service from the independant guys that are cheap are basically just oil and filter change, there is no way they are doing everything in the book, they never tick it either. It is cheaper to stay away from the stealers but if it is too cheap you are getting what you pay for.

Particularly after I asked them not to as the fronts had only done 5,000 Kms. This was at the Ballarat dealer -they won't be seeing it again.
