If you really want to see how your oil is performing find someone to do a filtergram on your used oil and see how it comes up.

Clean oil as above doesn't = performance, every diesel I've had the pleasure of dropping the oil it comes out black as up a chimney. It's just what they do.

So after 5 1/2 years have we established that diesel oil goes black quickly after being changed and that it is normal?

Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

.

Will clean the last dredges especially from the bottom of the sump.Warm it up to thin it so it flows through quickly. Pour it in as fast as you can. Sump plug back in slightly then remove.
Better and safer then an engine flush additive I think. Do it once it comes out black as, Again and its almost clean oil. Cheap, effective practice. I use any cheap oil to do this.
