Haha yeah true. I just fitted a cry02 system to my bosses Tarmac evo 9 hill climb car , the amount of gain he has got from that is unreal. But costs a lot to keep topped up. With few bottles etc It basically near freezes the front mount and cools water temp massively and a huge diffrence. But I'm not wanting to go that extreme. But boost activation does sound a lot better

Does the chip you have fitted enable you to control it?
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Will it be a good show ???

Led light bar instead of spotties? How does that go? I would assume that you lose the longer distance light quite considerably, especially since you had 70w HID?

Btw - you involved in the hill climb in any way this weekend?

Yeah I am Ben, busy busy which is good but mrs is due any day now so will be interesting haha!

Haven't tried it out on the road as yet, but not too fussed about how far down the road I can see anymore. No point in seeing 1k down the road in a spot . These lightbars are amazing . Just going to sell my spotties now!

I'm coming along with my boys, so I'll try and find you and say gday, if that's okay. You mechanic-ing for Peter, or driving?

Just wondering - what $$ you looking at for the spotties? PM or SMS if you like. What brand are they again?

Also, where'd you get the LED lightbars from, and what are the specs, especially for the one on the bullbar?

I still want to come around and check out your Triton ...

Me and a mate set up our wiring and lights yesterday getting ready for our trip comming up soon, I have led light inside the rooftop tent on a switch. Led light strip in the top outside part to light up the ladder at night
Led light in alloy case under the floor of the tent to light up tailgate and surrounding area,
Also wired up a led light the full length of my awning also.
Very very happy how it all turned out.
Have also added a volt gauge to the tray so don't have to check it in the dash all the time on the piranha one!
Also wired up a USB/12v sockets in the rooftop also. All the up top wiring is connected to a fuse box in the tent, then to Anderson plug on the roof cage. As is the awning wiring, for easy removal.

Have also installed my egt gauge finally.

Looking into trickle chargers today to charge my 2nd battery every now and then.

Does anyone know what size solar panel would be sufficient to charge a 2nd battery ?
Will post some pics later!

Hey Scott - I've got an 80watt solar panel (fold out type, about 5 yrs old). In full sunlight it pumps out about 5.5 Amps of charge - which is about how much most larger fridges use per hour (like your big one). So during the day it keeps up fine, it's just overnight where it loses a bit, plus lighting at night etc.

Using a 120Ah battery and the solar panel, I was able to stay camped 7 full days running 70L fridge and lights before the battery got drained. And that was with a dodgy cable that I didn't pick up until the 2nd last day that would have affected the solar charge coming back in.

If youve got the space go a 120w though - I generally like having a bit more than I need though. But if you're going to be driving around during the day and charging then, an 80 will be fine.

Hope this helps!
