What did you use for the soundproofing? Dynamat? Did you do the doors or the floorpan, or how much of it? How much better do you reckon it sounds etc?

Pics and details of the reverse sensors would be good, have been contemplating that myself.

Few people in here trying to remove those bits of the dash, did you take any shots while you were in there?

Interested in the front sensors too, where are you going to mount them, what are they, how, what, where etc....

Sorry for the quiz you've just hit on a few of the same things as I'm thinking about so I'm keen for more details.

Better not watch it Fridgie you'll never look at a tent the same way again.

Roland huh? I didn't think I'd ever meet anyone else who'd read those - did you read the whole series?

For the soundproofing i used an industrial product similar to dynamat but thicker ( i work in industrial sound insulation and metal fabrication) I did the doors, rear bulkhead (+ some acoustic foam) and areas of the transmition tunnel... theres little point doing the whole floor as the glass in the windows is rather thin and lets in a lot of road noise so for the effort of doing the whole floor it wouldnt be worth it.

I'm actually going to rip out the rear parking sensors as im fitting a camera but will do a step by step pic diary on how to fit them.

the dash section i removed the centre console, radio surround area, glove box and drivers kick didnt actually get that silver surround out as i got to where i needed to.

front sensors are going to be mounted into the bottom horizontal bar of the nudge bar again, when i do it i will do a pic diary :D

I fitted Bi-xenon projectors instead of just using standard hid reflector style globes as with the reflectors on the triton they do not concentrate the beam enough and you get too much scatter / blinding oncoming traffic.

the projectors work flawlessly nearly as good as the factory hid's on my bmw will get some pics of the light cut off/ peno

I just painted the original globes red with some red dye. very easy to do and in my opinion a great result.
Have taken the blue 'wash' leds out of the dash cluster and am fitting red ones just gotta get around to finishing it

how much did they cost and did you have to cut anything on the headlight reflector to fit it in :?

chicky, the projector assemblies + bulbs and ballast were about $200 unfortunately they are only available in LHD, I however pulled them apart and changed the reflector and lens for OEM Audi units as they have a better focus and are RHD,

You dont need to cut the reflector or any modifications actually, You do have to heat the headlight unit up and split the lens from the housing which takes a considerable amount of time to do properly without damage

I too would like to know where to buy these projector type headlights? The Challenger has similar shape headlights (projector type) as standard, suppose these wouldn't fit? Love the look of these headlight and much better beam pattern.
