Hey buddy. I got both of mine replaced. Mitsubishi paid for parts and I had to pay for labor. Mine is a 2007 ML.

  not front locker... too much right boot, TT!! :P

How did you make it fail? Oh, which side too??

A CV is a much cheaper replacement than a diff, so admire it as a fuse.
I have been pretty gentle with my vehicle, but still managed to snap one... So far.

If mits are not willing to warranty look around the wreckers. Have not tried the repco aftermarket but have been told they are weaker. :?

Do you have the REPCO part numbers? Our local distribution centre is saying they don't stock new triton CV's yet. It would be good if they did because the repco ones are usually a lot cheaper than genuine and make great spares ;) . Most of them are made in China though and in my opinion not as good as genuine.

Marty I can't predict a different result but given your location I recommend you try Eagers at Newstead. The service people there are genuine decent people and will listen to your issues.

I did one. Rhs, YouTube tricky cv hill. It's one of fridgie's videos of me. Flat out, 1st gear, bounced the front and snap. Thanks went to homer for his spare, I gave him the broken one and got it rebuilt. Was about $160 I think. I now have a spare pair, from a glx (just need to put the abs ring on it). I got my pair from a wrecker $400 delivered from tassie.

They will replace clickers under warranty.
Ask them if you can buy/keep the old one(s).... ;)

I never realised they would replace CV's under warranty, as I figured they would be considered a "consumable" for a 4x4. Will have to get them to do it at the 60,000km service, as well as replace the manifolds.

Michael (service manager) at Capalaba will give you the right royal runaround- nice bloke but when it comes to warranty it's like it is his money.

time off the road (without your vehicle) dosn't seem to be a high priority either......

good luck
