Faulty sensor, broken wire, failed control unit. The list is pretty long.

You will need to give us more info than that, what were you doing when it first come on etc

Hi Brodie,

Had the same problem the other week. Mitsubishi replaced a relay which had gotten water logged after being moved when my winch was installed. Cost about $70 at the time.....

Those lights can also come on for some engine/ecu faults, not always related to what they actually depict. As an example, if I stuff around with the OBD plug on mine I can produce a canbus fault code which gives a check engine light and then the two orange lights over on the right. The engine light will fix itself and the others will stay lit for a couple of days before disappearing. I even had a faulty sprint booster produce those lights at one point. So as Garth says the possibilities are endless.

Do you have a scangauge or other OBD reader to check fault codes?

Okay so if it is the OBD thing, then in my case it took a few days to clear. It has to do with the voltage on the canbus circuit and every time it starts it will check for that fault. Once it starts enough times without the fault being detected then the lights will go away.

Is yours a bluetooth dongle? Mine was. It had something to do with leaving the phone connected over bluetooth when I turned the ignition off. If I switched the phone off no dramas, if I left it on and then turned the car on again I'd get the code. This was with the torque app.

Will be interesting to see if that turns out to be your problem - bet it would have been the last thing you were expecting if that's what it turns out to be.

Brodie, my 2011 GLXR did exactly the same and now the ODBII dongle is in the glovebox just in case I ever need it.

Do you have a smart phone or an ipad? What you have may determine what you need in terms of a dongle but basically it plugs into the car above the drivers left knee and let's you read and clear ecu fault codes.

Thanks for the reply ,the story starts when I changed the universal joint at bottom of steering column and messed up setting on angle position sensor so went to mitzis who had it, off and on over a period of 4days to clear light. To be fair to dealership I have a doner car and have been moving bits and pieces over to this car
but did not have problem with lights before changing bottom universal .The dealership recomended taking car to auto electricion?????

Have you swapped anything else around or in the steering wheel column ?

If Mits can't fix it then maybe an Auto elec is the only answer....

Did you take the steering column out or move it at all to fit the uni ?

Maybe something is not connected or broken ?

The Etacs ECU is behind the fuse box, have you done anything around this area ?

The Triton's are very sensitive to wiring discrepancies and it won't take much to start error codes if a wire is not connecting properly.

could also be the clock spring in behind the steering wheel, quite easy to damage if its not connected at the bottom and someone "returns it to centre"
