I have a feeling the guys at TJM might've set up the wiring.

Ok so sump guard has to come off. I assume it's just tighten as much as possible and doesn't require a specific torque?

There's just a couple of terms that I don't know what they are
- upper cross member I assume is that beam thing that crosses the radiator? Or is that the crash box? Does it come off?

Also can't get my head around the 'captive bolt' you need to put through. I know what a captive bolt is but I just can't visualise it. The instructions don't have a picture of it.

Cheers for the images. Very helpful.

Does the crash box stay on? I assume it does?

And did you follow the specific torque outlined in their instructions for each bolt or did you just tighten till they were tight?

Not sure what you mean by crash box?.

I had no instructions.
if i could undo them with sockets and spanners they wernt overly tight.
i done them up and triple checked them with extensions on spanners/ sockets.

This thing circled in red. Is yours still attached? Instructions say to remove the 'upper cross member' but I have no idea what that is.

Also what do you mean by checking them with 'extensions'? Do you think it's necessary to tighten to specifications?

Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Cheers just got the email and picture. It looks like there are things attached to it though, so I'm not sure how they took it off? I'm still struggling to get the entire bumper off. Been referring to the workshop manual but not used to reading those diagrams.
I can email you a copy of the instructions. They just have individual tensions for different bolt sizes.

Yeah that would be great.

I always just look for clips and bolts.

Looking at mine i would have left it on the car to cut.
just take your time. Itwill work out.
