Hey John, I bolted a metal plate underneath the lid and a bolt goes through the rim and plate to hold the spare in place. I had to get the struts re-gassed to hold the lid up with the extra weight.

hi just wondering bout the locks u put on the hard cover did u put them on ur self if so was it hard and do they still latch on to the same spot as the original ones and have u got a pic of it from underneath thanks :)

Makes more room in the tub. I have the LPG tank where the spare used to live.
