Thinking of converting to Manual

Thinking of converting to Manual

Just needing to hear if converting from an auto to manual is actually possible. i understand that a transmission swap is usually not worth it but i would rather spend the money on my car than get a new one. i currently own a 2009 MN triton auto.

It is possible, but is it worth it?

You would need need to change engine ecu as it will be looking for an auto trans on the can network. The wiring harness would need to be changed to suit. Clutch pedal and cylinder, pipe and slave cylinder.

The ETACS would need to be changed as well, for a manual version, as the network configuration is stored here, and updating its software would need a dealer level scantool

Easier to just get an auto from a wreckers

Sounds like dealing with any issues you are possibly having with your auto.

Turbo diesel with auto is actually the optimum match.
