I have a NON-lifted mq triton and would like to know if I can upgrade to 245/75/17 tires, up from the standard 245/65/17 tires. Without the tires rubbing on the suspension, wheelguards, rubber flaps etc...
Or would the tire size of 245/75/17 require a lift kit to prevent rubbing? Does anyone run this size on a standard triton mq? Any advice greatly appreciated.
The tyres would fit fine I would imagine. It's usually going wider and taller that causes scrubbing. Only downside to 245/75r17 is that they are uncommon and when I was looking, every tire guy said I'd be struggling to find one outside a capital city. As you have an mq with 17's I'm assuming you have a gls or exceed and those stock rims are 7.5" wide. This allows you to fit 275/65r17's and they fit on mine no worries at all. (No lift but tjm outback bullbar made a little extra space) I think they would fit anyway
