Mq triton with -22 offset rims

Mq triton with -22 offset rims

Postby UN4GIVN on Thu Jun 30, 2016 10:19 pm

Hi guys i have a chance to purchase some rims and tyres but am to far for a test fit. Does anyone have experience with fitting -22 offset rims on the new mq triton. How far does it stick out and would like a set of those kut snake flares keep them covered? Any pics or info would be greatly appreciated

38 + 22 = 60mm (each side)

60 + 60 = 120mm (total track increase)

There is no listing for MQ on the Kut Snake web site but from a visual only on the ML/MN flares I don't think they'd cover an extra 60mm, so depends on how far inside the standard wheel arches the tyres sit.

Oh, and btw, have moved this post from the ML/MN section to MQ.
Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Increasing the wheel track by more than 50mm is illegal.
Going up by 120mm would be taking a pretty big risk imho.

The following is from VSB14.

"4.2.11 Off-Road and Goods Vehicle Wheel Track
The wheel track of off-road four wheel drive vehicles and goods vehicles (MC, NA, NB ADR
category) must not be increased by more than 50mm beyond the maximum specified by the
vehicle manufacturer for the particular model. "
GLS MQ Triton, ARB Summit front, rear and side bars, Carryboy canopy and rack, Dobinson heavy duty suspension, Harrop rear E-locker, Drifta drawers and a few other bits and pieces.

They will stick out mate i use to run -26 and i have a ml glxr, i had to add about 40mm of garden edging to cover them. Nowadays my wheel track is about a foot wider than the average glxr ;)
