New Triton in Tassie

Postby steve tas on Sat May 02, 2009 8:15 am

Hi,
Firstly I would like to thank everyone who contributes to this site for all the info, both good and bad points, which went a long way towards me outlaying a fair bit of dough on a new Triton. Having only owned, in total, 1 4x4 ( a 1990 Subie Brumby, and a 1988 TD Jackaroo. Adds up to 1 4wd!) I found heaps of questions to throw at the dealer before signing his paperwork.

Anyway I live in Hobart in Tassie and do heaps of trout fishing in the centeral hihglands and want to get back into deer hunting. Looked at a few 2nd hand Tritons on the net and got stuffed around way too much so decided to go new.
Ended up with a 08 built MY09 GLX TD in manual. Drove a glxr v6 and thought it was great except for the fact I wanted deisel but my budget just couldn't go that far.

The car is silver and should be here by the end of next week. Cant wait!!!!

Once again, Thanks for all the info.

Steve

Duscks are pretty easy to get at. Licences are a bit of a pain though with the duck ID test. As for pheasants, I know a few spots where they have been released but aren't real successful. Pretty good tucker for the native cats here. there are quail scattered around the place. Never shot at them as I usually see them when deer hunting. .243 would make a bit of a mess ;)
