BEN115 single cab Build Thread-Stainless Snorkle wheels/tyre

Postby BEN115 on Sun Dec 12, 2010 5:54 pm

Hey guys just got my triton, loving it so far. turns many heads as there arnt too many like mine in my area, yet*.
things iv done to it are, custom tray LED rear lights HID headlights, full tough dog 1.5" lift comfort springs damper rate adjustable shocks, 275/70r16 silverstone 117 M/T ex's black sunnys and thats it so far i think. will be getting the tray sides painted body colour this week and also putting marine carpet on there, getting a nice toolbox to go up there and chrome centre caps for the wheels. i used to have a ford ranger mini truck thing, loved that car was a real head turner aswell, but then my brother got a new hilux 4wd lifted muddies, the usual and we started doin some serious four wheel driving with our mates and then i got hooked! so i got myself this beast. i got the triton because you never ever see a moded one so i thought i would show people what they can look like, hope you guys like it.

recent changes not included up there^ custom dent in lh door ;) seriously tho, added a front lokka, the bullbar the 22" light bar, the striker 170 spotties, which werent bright enough after the light bar so i modded them and converted to 70W HID. anyone with these lights should do it! very simple to do, just need to buy a H3 adaptor from the net also. Iv mounted a high lift jack to the rear under the tray, painted the tray saides installed a digital uhf, one of the tiny ones, fits infront of the gear selector in the pannel there, looks neat. have done a 2" body lift on it also, very easy, highly recomended.

she has conquered many parks in QLD and has suprised alot of people. most recently at mud bulls and music 2011, it shocked about 100 people by going up the infamous camp road. . . . without any lockers. also been to the springs, city view, janowen hills, fraser island, stradbroke island.

future mods for my ute in the new year are custom rock sliders, custom snorkle with tjm inner guard piece, 3" exhaust, chip-it with EGT analyser, 2" strut spacers on the front, achieve enough positive castor to fit 35" M/Ts, dual batterys . . . . im sure as things are ticked off, more and more will be added ;)

Nice rig Ben.

Are you in SEQ? If so, I may have some chrome centre caps that are nearly new with no marks on them that you are welcome to mate. PM me if you're interested

OUCH

there's a strange chicky bloke with something like yours. you might get on OK with each other. he is on holidays at the moment though.

looking good mate and welcome aboard.

There are plenty of modded ones on this site but not many single cabs.

For some reason many of our members are family guys and need the back seats for passengers. In fact it is one of the reasons i reckon our forum is so successful as we are all of breedable quality...... :P :P
This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

That`s a very nicely balanced looking ute there Ben.
I love the shape of the Tritons with no bar work or covers and tyres/rims of the right proportion.

I guess you will soon have a bull bar etc on it like allot of us on here.

Sometimes I think I should have left mine as a plain VR dual cab to keep its original look.
It certainly would have saved me some $$$

cheers

yeah kyle deffinatly keen for a day trip! its okay if i bring some other non diamond advantage lesser vehicles :P
about 3 other utes and i are going to the logan village pine forrest on sunday if anyone is interested. test her out.

i have figured a way to get some weight over the rear wheels, i went to an engineering shop, they are going to weld a 90 degree piece with a bolt hole onto both sides of a 25mmx300mmx width of chasis rails which will sit right behind the spare wheel block and chain ontop the chasis rails, should be around 80kgs, should do the trick i think.

Put a rear locker in it, that will get the power to the ground when you need it!
