Factory bash plate problem (Radiator) photos

Hello,

Has anyone else had issues with Sticks/stalks finding their way through the slots in the bash plate.
After feeding the horses on Tuesday was shocked to find a coolant leak when i parked up.

Here are a few photos to show the issue.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Ouch!! Unlucky.

That stick looks quite green. I would have thought it would have bent rather than impale your radiator. Is it repairable?
Keeping the shiny side up since 1984. :D

Gee 5th, it looks like you did that to a lot more than the bash plates.

Mayhem
The green is actually coolant.

What worries me is fitting a "better" bash plate that still allows for ventilation.
It'll still have the slots in it and allow for this to happen again.

Actually nothing more than a stone guard, however doesn't really provide much protection of any fashion. Good for catching any screws or tools that you drop and makes it hard for retrieval.

Some sort of baffled grill is the only real solution to prevent a direct path for sticks, etc to be able to reach vulnerable bits.

Ouch! :o
I made new drawings (DXF) and design from that PDF what a guy sent me on facebook (Lewis Design LD-08 or something).
I'll cut mine tomorrow (I hope :) ) and my colleague will fold it.
I can send you the files if you know somebody who can cut it for you.....
