I was very pleased with it when the forklift sat it down!! and yes it's a step, laser cut with stainless steel tread, the infill is part of there standard tray for the tritons. It was made locally by a mob called "Bronco Trays" they have put a bit of thought into them and are well made.

Spent an hour trying to figure out why my parkers and brake lights weren't working on my trailers. That bloody tiny single fuse near the battery...

The pod was made by a Queensland mob called MY TOOLBOX in Brendale as I said they made it from my measurements and a few photos of the tray. A bit over 4G with windows front and rear, 3 doors and central locking with freight down to me in Cowra.

Thanks Ray, real pleased with it.
I don't think I will need a RTT, we will be towing a small van on most of the long trips. And I was lucky enough to be given a NEW 30 sec tent that I want to adapt to the side of the pod......The misses was just reading this over my shoulder and said "maybe a tinnie on top would be good"
I'll start looking before she changes her mind!!

Readjusted my driving lights after the ute came back from a service with the lights pointed skywards. I assume someone's leaned on them....hasn't really been left anywhere else for this to happen.

Add to that, a cable was left dangling down near the clutch pedal and almost caught my foot - so I sorted that out too.

Pretty bloody ordinary....

Nothing to show you on the inside, I haven't started anything yet!
I've just put some marine carpet on the floor, and I've started to measure up for a few compartments so things don't move around too much.
It's off to the auto sparkie on Thursday to get the battery, the Ctek and the pod central locking wired up.
That's all i'll have time to do before I head of to Tassie.

Yes mate, I got the tray locally (standard triton) then measured it up, sketched out what I wanted for the pod (canopy) (After pestering a few blokes on here to see what they had done, thanks guys  ), then sent it off to the guy in Queensland to have it made.
pleased with the end result ...

Sweet!
What price range am i looking at if I do all the measurements and cad drawings myself, does it make it cheaper?

I don't thing they need cad drawings to work from ??
Just plain accurate measurements! It would be good if you could call in and talk to them and ask what they can do, I couldn't do that due to the distance and I needed it to be done a.s.a.p
The costs will depend on just what you want, eg windows, whale tail locks (for central locking) 2doors or 3 doors, roof rails/rack, jerry can holder ect ect
3.5 grand - 4.5 grand again depends on what you want and if you are picking it up or getting it delivered.

I finally get the Triton into the auto electrician to get the pod wired up and electric trailer brake unit wired in.
The old controller I took out of the ML couldn't be used, so I had to have a new one.
In all it took them 2 days,(plus a few other bits) but it looks very neat.
