Be holding off as its more of a want than a need. Now just have to wait 4 weeks until I get home from work to have a play with them.

Now, it's quite obvious the paint on the body is bloody thin, but clearly the inside of the tub got a real casual blow over of paint.
The tub's had minimal use, just camping gear a couple of times and that's it.
I'd take it back to the dealer but I CBF with the bullshit and downtime - so it just got sprayed with some cheap white paint from Supercheap.

Is it still the case that despite improvement in design the beam spread pattern is unsuitable due to glare etc from the reflector for the oncoming cars. I would appreciate your comments Thanks John.
Hi john,
I've been wondering about the suitability of these IPF 341HLB's as it looks like they have put some actual effort into their R&D and tried to emulate the filament design of an H4 bulb with the led placement. I guess the idea is to get it to work with a reflector designed for a halogen h4 bulb:

This video seems to show the light pattern of the 341HLB vs Halogen matching one another (Japanese)

I also have an ML and am yet to measure the clearance (these look like they need 25mm more clearance at the rear of the light housing to fit).
Cheers,
David

Thanks David, I will try and source some of those IPF lights as the others have none of those qualities built into the bulb construction, will post up info.
