Brought a pair of 9" LED driving spotties off that 4wd supercentre.

Be holding off as its more of a want than a need. Now just have to wait 4 weeks until I get home from work to have a play with them.

I was hosing the inside of my tub down the other day, just a regular hose and not all that hard either....when a 6" section of paint above the passenger side wheelarch just blew straight off!

Now, it's quite obvious the paint on the body is bloody thin, but clearly the inside of the tub got a real casual blow over of paint.

The tub's had minimal use, just camping gear a couple of times and that's it.

I'd take it back to the dealer but I CBF with the bullshit and downtime - so it just got sprayed with some cheap white paint from Supercheap.

Bit expensive, but you should look into the Rhino lining, wont have to worry about that and throwing sharp objects in wont be a drama.

New boots today. Was tossing up between the new MT Deegan 38 AT's (replacing the STZ) and theses (Bridgestone D697).

I opted to have the black writing on the outside but now I'm kinda wishing id gone with the white on the outside :? :(

New FM antenna will be going on the bar in the next couple of days and hopefully will have a UHF to follow shortly, then I think I'm done ;)

What pressures are people running with the 697's was told 40 front and 46 rear but that seems to high. Ive dropped them back to 38 psi and seems better.

Hi john,

I've been wondering about the suitability of these IPF 341HLB's as it looks like they have put some actual effort into their R&D and tried to emulate the filament design of an H4 bulb with the led placement. I guess the idea is to get it to work with a reflector designed for a halogen h4 bulb:

http://www.ipf-light.com/catalog/341hlb.php

This video seems to show the light pattern of the 341HLB vs Halogen matching one another (Japanese)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IR4Ch0FN1E&authuser=0

I also have an ML and am yet to measure the clearance (these look like they need 25mm more clearance at the rear of the light housing to fit).

Cheers,

David

Thanks David, I will try and source some of those IPF lights as the others have none of those qualities built into the bulb construction, will post up info.

A bit more o add to what happened to my new 17 exceed..........

I am sure someone here will know what this is......... (yellow one in the circle...not the fuse box :) )

This was the reason for all my troubles, roadside assist (NRMA) could not find it, Mitsubishi dealer in Young did not fine it (all they did was clear the 72 fault codes ) took it for a quick drive and hand it back telling me that there was nothing wrong with it!
Driving it home it come close to killing me, when the cruise control stuck on at 130 kms!

I eventually fixed it with the help of the salesman at Orange Mitsi over the phone!!
But why did it happen????????
Cheers Johno

what brand of switches ? IF lamps are LED, try a LED dimmer on the +/- feed to the lamps...one dimmer would handle the number of switches you have.

Put new shoes on. Bridgestone A/T 697. Stayed standard on size with 245's as lease gets funny about 'upgrading your tyres'. I am okay with it. 4 @ $210 including a wheel alignment. Sat and watched them do it all which was an interesting experience on its own. Particularly use of the torque wrench and rattle gun combo.

Unsurprisingly there is an increase in noise from H/T but I notice it on cornering and not really at speed. Looking forward to trying them out off road.
Keeping the shiny side up since 1984. :D
