UHF installed plus a set of clear view towing mirrors. The difference is amazing, driving blind without them if you have a wide tray. I took a comparison shot to show the difference.

Would the inlet ports and around the valves be equally carbonised? Did you need to clean there as well?

Fitted air conditioning condenser fan. Fan from Stirling parts in Sydney 2 day wait, great service, $153 delivered. Even came with the correct rubber feet on the Botton, mini relay from Jaycar for $6:50 and them minutes to fit. Another great idea from a great forum. Now if someone could only figure out how to fix the woeful torque converter...........

The last thing I physically did to my triton was recover it from the side of the road a couple of weeks ago.

The last thing I actually did with it was settle the writeoff payment and recovered theft paperwork with the insurance company yesterday. I guess i'm on the hunt again.

Traded mine today.
An MN Triton with 235,000klm on it.

Picked up a 2016 MQ GLS with bullbar and Canopy and Towpack, with 17000klm on it, for $34900. 6 speed manual. Very happy with it on the 40 minute drive home.

Yeah mate one screw behind the surround and you have to take the board off as well 3 other screws but pretty simple to get off.

Whipped up some screens for the canopy windows after I busted some local lowlife checking out the $10,000 odd worth of test gear in the back. Have only done the sides atm as with out any light coming in, its almost black in the back due to the tint.

Was going to get the quilted offerings but they worked out at nearly $200 for the set
I have always been concerned with gear moving around on top of the drawers and busting a window. These screens will hopefully stop that, as they are made from 7mm ply with cheap front windscreen reflectors glued on. The ply should spread the impact load over a bigger area.
Total cost about $6 :D as i had most of the stuff lying around.

Only issue i have is the reflectors have a "grain" on them and i tried to get all 4 screens out of 2 reflectors. Didn't realise it at the time, but the back ones have the "grain" on a slant. Will see if my OCD can handle the different look . Not a biggie to rip the reflector off and replace with a new one.

Just have to do the front and rear windows now, which will only be a mesh to stop moving items going through the glass.

Could the reflectors blind other motorists with the sun reflection while your driving around? Good idea to stop the scum out there eyeing off your gear. Thays why i try not to keep tools in the back.

The tint kills any reflection so all good there.
Use my ute as a work vehicle so not uncommon for it to be full of tools, test gear or material being delivered to customers. $30k of gear is common betwwen back seat and tray.
Hence trying to keep the grubs from eyeballing anything.

When I get my canopy first thing will be screens as I too will have a lot of elect cable & test gear and a generator etc + camping gear.
But looking at this material used for advertising on the inside windows of utes & van's - a few colour choices.

Can still see out ok, but scumbag thieves not in.
Something to consider if what you've fitted doesn't work out ?

Wired up the spotlights and had the new shoes fitted. Also fitted KnN filter and will hopefully get the remap done in couple weeks.

Got Yokohama geolandars ats 265/75/16 I think off top of my head.

Hahaha yeah man I do a lot of hunting so cruising the back roads to farms I'll take all the false Day light I get. The light bar has pretty much become in noticeable compared to the led spots.

As noted but the night blindness is the biggest pain in the ass.

Agree, you can't have too much light away from civilisation.

Pretty tight. Easy 300m throw. Have only tested them down the street.
Will get a night shot with them on at some stage.
