The only downside is there's no alloy top plate on this style so your doors can cop a bit of gravel rash from stones flicking up through the tubes.
I wanted to go down that path with some plate welded along the bottom though it creates more issues with not being to get power coat into the corners and a possible rust point.
Either style is still going to be higher than the chassis rails.
