These I think are the same too? Oz seller (although it's calling them a T10?)

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-T10-7W-C ... 3ec&_uhb=1

Or a set from overseas (where they all come from anyway) that is specifically describing a T15 as per original ebay link in this thread - cheaper too

Ive had these on my GLXR since January. They are brighter than the normal bulbs, but please note they only put out light in a directional straight line from the rear of the Tri so to speak. e.g bugger all light out to the sides which can make it hard to see close plants, letterboxes as you get close to them etc.
Also if you are reversing up to a gate, the light will get smaller and smaller into a circle as you get closer.
I still like them better than the original, but I would prefer some ambient side light as well.

I've just tried to fit my T15 replacement globes and I find they don't go into the fitting all the way. :(
Is there a trick to installing them? Tape or something?
They meet the contacts,.......so they work. But I'm afraid they will fall out. :(
Any ideas?

I used my Dremel and ground a bit off each corner of the globe where it hits the socket ;)

Thanks mate.
I thought about that but was afraid I'd stuff the internals of it.
I got one in with one layer of tape and I'll try that with the other one.

BTW......if anyone has a globe come out of the holder and fall into the tail light.
The best way to get it out is with a pencil and blutac. ;)
Shake it as long as you want......it won't come out.

Mine went straight in? Wonder if maybe we need T10 instead of T15? Is that how the sizes work, smaller number = smaller fitting?

I think that's right - the T10 is a shorter length overall, by about 10mm from memory

I bought a set today for $11 from a led shop down the road, there t15 but i didn't realise mine have 9 small led instead of 1 as posted above. Is there any issue with these, they work and seem very clear through the camera.

I found the ones I got from eBay didn't fit my ML and one fell inside it took 40mins to shake it out. I can't remember if they were the ones listed here but for me they didn't go. I think I still have them floating around and if I can find the eBay listing I will post it up.

That's the ones I bought.

As you can see the taper of the globe base is different.
I've place both into the socket and placed a texta mark on them so you can see the difference in how far each one goes in.
Now to grind some of the plastic away so it sit further in ;)

Didn't realise that the reversing globes were only pissy 18W units, most cars have 21W, only little more but still better.

So whats the verdict? Are the LEDs better?
