i found a different type of LED reverse globe on ebay. They have one big emitter with a lens pointing back and 12 smaller ones arranged in groups of 3 on the edges so they have a similar spread to the OEM incandescent globes. They slotted straight in and made a huge difference for me.

which one? they both work for me.

If you google or ebay search for "Mitsubishi ML MN 2005+ Triton Hi-Power LED Reverse Tail Light Bulbs Globes" the top result is what I tried to link to.

If the imgur link isn't working then I'm stumped, sorry.

Hi All,

I bought the following just recently and am waiting for their arrival:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-T15-T10-W ... 3a88a16a7b

I have the other ones shown in this post with the white plastic and one large glass magnifier, these did not fit as per other peoples posts but I did not bother to try and mod them.

I think the ones I just bought will fit and put out more light so will see how they go!

Well fruity's price looks a bit better anyway. Philip's links both work fine for me.

Fruity's actually look like they have bigger side emitters and they're less than half the price. Should have looked a bit harder :(

You've both used Australian sellers. I reckon if you could find one in China or Hong Kong you might get even cheaper still. Can be hard work at times but there are some pretty big price differences out there. I'd be surprised if either of those sellers paid more than $1-2 per item so the mark-up is pretty good.

got the new bulbs, they fit without modification and put out more light then the other ones with the plastic surround that I bought ( I put these in the wife's car when they didn't fit ).

For $12 I wasn't too concerned on waiting a month to get them from China !

Every now and then tapatalk on the ipad goes to crap on me. On the version I have though if you press and hold on a post it pops up with some options, one of which is webview. If you take web view it asks you for your password again but then you have the normal view you'd get on a PC browser, which can be handy for little things like seeing the location under an avatar, or as in this case following an external URL if it doesn't work in tapatalk. Mine sometimes shows a post as a blank as well and web view fixes that maybe 50% of the time. The other 50% it crashes tapatalk which is probably just as well since it's going haywire showing blank posts.

Got a pair of the lights that fruity put up which I think are the same as Phillips link. Ordered Sunday night, came in mail today and installed.

Never thought I'd be so wrapped over a pair of reversing lights lol, these things are pretty good, light up a good bit of area behind the car!!!!

I wanted to get better globes so I don't need to turn on my other reversing lights when doing everyday reversing. I have the reversing lights on a 3 way switch installed between the rear bar and tailgate - these are super bright and I have had them on in the daytime by accident before and have been pulled over by highway patrol!

As shown in Dan's post above the replacement globes are good enough to see behind and help the reverse camera out without having to blind half the neighbourhood.

Is anyone running a dimmer with their aftermarket reverse/work lights? I have tried wiring up a few and have had no luck...Would be handy to be able to turn them down when you need more light then the globes but less than the sun.

Maybe you could try a nice pink filter on them to soften the harshness a bit?

Or wire up a photosensitive relay so they only come on at a low light level when the switch is on.

The pink filter sounds like a good idea, can I borrow a set of yours to try first Dave? Might start wearing a cowboy hat then too!

It's the chaps and spurs you want to aspire to mate, not just the hat. ;)

I dropped in a set of these

over the weekend.

Makes a huge difference. No excuse for backing into anything now, except incompetence.

A pair of these arrived today, tried to install only to find they are a bees dick too wide to go into the hole in the tail light. Bit more thinking required

Just use a file and make the hole slightly larger. That's what I did to mine
