Can't find it? Ask here FIRST, before you start a new thread

Anything Triton related

Hi

Have looked through various/numerous threads related to in dash at Nav with reverse camera integrated into it. I have the 2010 MN Dual Cab and it seems the unwired ones are useless as signal does not get that far back to the sensors to work well.

What I am looking for is a new in dash unit that will fit without having to cut anything and has good off road Sat Nav and reverse camera option. I would also like to be able to hook up drop down DVD screens from roof of canopy at some point.

There seems to be compatible ones when I search E Bay but they are from China and a bit wary of whether these will even fit/work.

Anyone have the same and any info on how much to fit etc would be great.

Other option I have looked into is just buying a mini i pad and downloading one of the off road Apps that work even when out of internet reception, I would be buying the i pad just to use for off road App though so this may not be best option.

I spent hours scrolling through the posts but couldn't get a clear answer on which in dash would actually work well.

Many thanks.

Generally the dig options unit has proven reliable and provides the features you want. There are upmarket units from Kenwood, VMS and others but they don't necessarily have all the same features. In the early days we had to cut to make them fit but not any more with a range of fitting options available.

Thread is here.

Sorry, more questions on wiring up the CTEK D250S Dual.

The CTEK wiring diagram doesn't show anything from the starter battery negative terminal. I'm assuming that it needs to be earthed somewhere. Would I earth the starter battery direct to the trailer battery and then also earth the D250S to the trailer battery, or earth both the starter battery and the trailer battery to the D250s.

And if I'm using my AC/DC charger I guess all I need do is disconnect the D250S.

This electrickery stuff has me very confused. :?

Thanks

Problem solved.

Found this on CTEK's Oz website.

I'm assuming that this set-up would apply to a remote trailer battery as well.

I've been trying to find some answers on an issue that seems to be getting worse....

After reaching operating temperature in my 3.2 ML I am getting an engine breaking whirring noise from 2,000 revs. This didn't bother me at first but it seems to be causing a lack of power now. My issue is that it is intermittent. Wondering if anybody has had something similar happen. It sounds like its engine breaking but it shouldn't be....

Anyone know who does speedo calibration in Adelaide? Guage Works on Port Road can do it but I'm hoping for something closer to home.

Is it safe to drive the car while the engine warning light comes on?
I'm due for 30000k service & want to take the EGR mod off when I disturbed it the engine light is now on? I don't know how to reverse the mod, do I rejoin the white race wires or unpick all the tape & try to rejoin the tiny blue/black wire? Tricky for an old bloke with poor eyesight. Should of thought of that when I did it.

Rejoining the white wire will "disable" it.

Didn't you instal it with bullet connectors?

You should be fine to drive with that engine light on. As above either join the white wires or remove the whole thing and join the remaining bullet connectors together on the stock wire.

Looked everywhere in the pictures part of the forum but can't find what I'm after, how do you get a profile picture? I know how to add pictures to my shed, but just not set a profile pic.

Best contact me direct (tony@spvindustries.com) if you need support (we are here for you) as I may miss this here, and did until a good member alerted me.

As mentioned, if you have used the bullet plugs, take the entire thing out and rejoin now you have disturbed it. But otherwise, yes, joining the white wires will bypass the mod and self test for a fault.

If issue continues, you may have pulled a wire from a bullet plug. I can talk you through rectifying any issues so don't stress. 8-)

We now have a much better way for circumstances such as yours. 8-) True Plug and play.

I'll send you a PM encase you miss this.

regards,
Tony

A voltage clamp works by stopping the ECU reading an overboost via the MAP sensor and cutting fuel supply. With a clamp fitted the ECU won't know and won't cut fuel, nor will it log a CEL. Quite common - Google it.

Has anyone replaced the stock radiator with a after market twin core. If they have is there a thread? I could only find swapping ml and MN.

Salt36 is the only one that comes to mind. Have a look in his build thread.

Thanks Mods.
I have just put a scangauge2 in the monster truck and temps range from 88 to 98 deg. It is part of the service (not recall  ) campaign so I'll wait and see what Warwick dealer says first.

I thought that was pretty good, 2 answers in 10 minutes.

Those temps are pretty normal for an MN I'm afraid. It's confronting but you get used to it. The new coolant mix won't boil until more like 120 or 130 at a guess.
