bad wheel alignment in the first place

hit the curb and through out the wheel alignment

went 4x4ing and the alignment got stuffed up?

best thing is you noticed it- bad if you noticed it, it is likely pretty bad
and after 2000kms that seems likely

get it checked ASAP ask for the print sheet

it is not always good to follow the manufacturers recommendations, the vehicle tolerances should be taken into consideration and where a "good" aligner will provide better long term results

can anyone find the dimensions of the MN GLX double din stereo? Anyone taken one out and have it lying around who could measure one? I need the width in mm if possible. I suspect there is about a 5-10mm difference between standard din width and factory unit width but cant find it anywhere.

I'm after the dimensions of the unit in MM, as in depth, width, height.

Chris was good enough to list the dimensions of my new stereo, and another user here has installed the same Kenwood unit also in a GLX, but said he had to use an after market hood, as the factory stereo is possibly a bit wider than a standard double DIN.

So Im wondering just how much difference there is, and if I can throw together some filler between the mounting brack and the unit, or if I just need to buy a $110 piece of plastic (ie" after market hood) to mount the new unit in.

Doesn't matter. Some say high tensile more likely to break mounts if hit.

Hi guys

Just purchased a 3.2 ML GLXR with 200,000kms on it has full service history. 2 owners.
Runs well no knocking or surging, straight body and undercarriage. looks to have done reasonably easy kms.
Most of the servicing intervals were around the 10,000km mark as far as I know

I'm wondering what's due at the 200,000kms mark in regards to servicing?
What should I get my mechanic to look at?
Any other details about what to check up on further and future servicing needs or tips would be much appreciated.

Cheers

It's all detailed in your Owner's Manual.

As 5th says, check the manual. Also depends what's been done and when. I did all filters, fluids, hoses, belts, thermostat, valve adjustment, top chain guide and De-coke inlet manifold. Mine had done 260k so I fitted an egt gauge and ultragauge to help keep an eye on it.

Quick question for the Auto-sparkies..

If I run a thick cable from the battery under the bonnet to the rear of the canopy.. can I plug my fridge directly into it ( Anderson plugs ), or will the increased Amperage when the engine is running fry my fridge internals ?

will be fine mate, fridge or any other appliance will only draw what it needs, I fact it will be better than having a thin cable, bigger is better

Sorry to ask here without doing a full search but I'm on the road touring with our caravan and only have my phone to use for internet searching. Basically cylinder 3 conrod has departed company with the crankshaft and engine won't turn over. I'm driving a 2011 MN thats clicked up 144k and have been offered a 2015 Challenger engine with 20k as an option to repairing mine. Is the challenger engine the same as the Triton? Just need to confirm and is there anything else to look out for.
Thanks in advance, David

.. I mean check to see if there is a split or if it has come off.. it's not uncommon for the hose to come off when running higher pressures

eBay might be your best bet to be honest.

Meanwhile you might get by with a dodgy repair. Self amalgamating tape? Maybe some muffler bandage?
