Relevant info: ACT, 2007 GLXR ML

My mechanic just told me that he is unable to do a body lift on an ML as it is illegal to do so in my state when the vehicle is fitted with airbags. I think thats a bit of a wobbly. I just want 25mm... (its a long story...)

As far as I know, ACT still follow NSW on this, in which case you would need to have it engineered. Air bags do not count out a body lift so long as the sensors and control unit are in the body, which they are on the Triton. I haven't given you a specific link since information on this is scattered everywhere, but you could start here.

Hey guys, I unfortunately hit another roo last night and did a bit of damage, the problem is it's still drivable but I've lost all power (won't go above 2000rpm) why would it do this?

I broke my front drive shaft universal joint and can't find a relevant thread.
- Has anyone had the same experience and fixed it?
- is there a cheaper aftermarket option (genuine part is $150 - I have asked at Repco, Bursons and Hardy Spicer and they don't have a listing for the vehicle)
- any tips for doing the job? e.g. do you need a press to extract/install

Many thanks.

I had both my front universals replaced for less than that. Materials only.
They were off the shelf at a specialist driveline shop. He measured them up and went and got the spares
No idea on part no's

The closest earth, according to the manual, is inside the rear of the twin cab, sort of behind the seat belt and under the plastic cover.
See pic below.

I would try a multimeter and see what gives the best result, keep in mind though the Triton is finicky with wiring and power and a wire or earth in the wrong spot can cause unwanted problems.

Does anybody have the model number of the standard double din head unit that came on a MY10 GLX triton? I can post a picture if it helps. Mine has lost 4 out of 6 number buttons and am keen to get them replaced, but it seems the local dealer doesn't stock them and also can't give me a model number to check ebay etc...

Cheers

Just get an aftermarket unit. Better sound and features for less. Radio prob wont be as good though
