Pretty sure that the sidesteps bolt straight up.

The links no longer work for the pdf.
I can't see it in the PDF thread,
Are there PDF plans for bash plates still around or a clearer picture?

Yes I know read the manual some need engine for lubrication others can hack splash short distance ok etc. Reason for asking today rescued sr5 hilux in the middle of nowhere engine seized big time no mobile reception plus about 70km from any town 200ks from any decent garage with tow truck. Anyway offered to disconnect driveshaft driver says stuff it so ok I towed it at about 40kmh to a farmhouse where it could be left safely. Would damage occur hmm to what transfer case or transmission itself. No manual was in the car to check out what Toyota says.

After some info re Queensland Roadworthy certificates.
Being from SA I have never had to deal with any of this, i moved over here a few months ago and changed my licence straight away, now my vehicle rego has expired. The SA Rego site won't allow me to auto renew the rego as I have a QLD Drivers Licence (I can renew if I get someone in SA to go into Service SA with a permission letter stating that I can "garage my car" in SA).
QLD rego is cheaper so I wouldn't mind swicthing to save a few $$$ but I'm nervous about the roadworthy check.
I have a 2" suspension lift, 1" body lift and 33" tyres.. I know this isn't illegal but I am happy to wear the risk as I know my car handles well and is safe to drive but it is not in the eyes of the law.
My question is - If I take my car to a mechanic garage to get a check; is this the stuff they check up on? Will they charge me a heafty fee only to fail me because of the tyres or lift? Or do most of them check for other things like rust and engine issues?
If it will be too much of a hurdle I might try getting it re registered in SA or I could put the original tyres back on and hope they don't notice the body lift.
