MN 2.5 massive vibration in any gear.

Hi Triton owners/specialist
I have a MN triton 2.5L 220000kms auto and up until yesterday ran ok other than the massive fuel consumption. All of a sudden in any gear moving or stationary the car has this violent vibration that sound like its coming from the engine cause that sounds different than normal. Has anyone had or know about this issue?

Balance shaft belt has possibly stripped. When was timing belt changed last?

I bought the car at 140000 and it has had the belt replaced b4 then.
Maybe they did not do it correctly.

take off top timing cover and have a look down, behind the timing belt you should see the balance shaft belt

Most likely balance belt as KMs are up there. The balance shaft belt while still intact was fully ripe at around 210 on my son's MN.

The timing belt looked like it would still have a few KMs in it but certainly due.

Really need to stick to the 100k regime with these engines.

Sounds like i'm in for an expensive time!, I have this problem at 70thousand
