Do 2wd MN Tritons suffer overheating?

Postby kiedishaze on Fri Dec 18, 2020 1:42 pm

Hi all,

I've been told via Facebook that the 2wd MN use a lower power 100kw motor vs. the 4wd models, meaning they don't suffer from the same overheating issues. Can anyone confirm if this is true or if their 2wd MN has overheated in a similar fashion to the 4wds?

For context, I've recently purchased a 2wd 2011 Triton in NZ with 270,000 kms on the clock and I absolutely love it but the possibility of an abnormal overheating issue doesn't sit well.

Cheers

I have not seen a 2wd Triton with the same issues that the 4wd Triton has suffered with.

The motor is a lower power version, with a smaller turbo

Awesome. I suppose I can ease up on the worrying and get back to the driving. Cheers
