Ryco RCC350 Catch Can

Anyone had issues with their 4D56 after fitting one of these?
I have a Ryco RCC350 Catch can fitted to my 2015 MN.
Not long after fitting I experienced a few problems with noisy/nosier injectors & a couple of times the dipstick was sitting up off its normal resting place.
Anyway, at the beginning it didn't happen very often so I didn't worry too much about it, but a month ago it was happening more regularly.
I had been at a loss to find the cause of these issues & even Mitsubishi and my genius mechanic couldn't diagnose the problem because it was intermittent (don't U hate that).

Just by luck I noticed that Ryco were no longer making the RCC350 Catch can & that they had superseded it with the RCC351. I went & had a very close look at this new version & it was exactly the same to look at in every way.
So I emailed Ryco explained my problem & asked them what the difference was & why they had superseded it.

There answer was:
EDIT: I had to remove their word for word reply because the email was confidential &I am not allowed to re-post it.

But it said that the RCC350 was superseded by the RCC351 because they had to remove the check valve from the RCC350 due to the fact that it was restricting blow-by flow back to the Turbo.
Their method to fix the RCC350 was to prize open the Top cap with a flat screwdriver & remove the two springs & rubber diaphragm (which is the check valve). They then went on to say that you have to put the top back on, then glue & seal it.

Now,in a perfect world the check valve is there to stop back pressure. Problem is that it doesn't work properly and can restrict the flow of your blow-by gas back to the Turbo, especially in the 4D56 motor, and includes the Pajero as well.

So, I did this mod as suggested by Ryco & "Happy Days" the issues I had have vanished. Its so nice to drive without the added extra injector rattle & the dipstick now stays put too. In my opinion they should have issued a recall & fixed or replaced them all free of charge, but U never know, if enough complain it may still happen.
Hope this may help anyone with the same problems.
