Thats a new one. I'm a panel beater and i have never even heard of this.
It's easier to get forgivness than permission.

I think you may have uncliped the little removable (anti theft) section on your stereo
Try taking it off then cliping it back in ;)

Buzzy's all over it. According to the manual 5-47, this is exactly what occurs. 8-) Haven't seen mine for a while as the display is no longer there.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

It ain't pretty being easy!!

This site is amazing. Well done Buzzy.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Ok so I was the last person to post in this thread all that time ago and it appears I have this problem. But it isn't the little round security thing. Fuse for the radio is ok. I was steaming the area, so assume some moisture has got in somewhere. Any more ideas before I pull the radio out and replace it with a spare one that I just happen to have lying around?

Just dusty.. Exterior hasn't been washed in 6 months. Interior was getting real dusty in all the little cracks and crevices.

Ever heard of an air compressor???

Little brush and air compressor and she's clean without destroying your radio ;)

Wondering if the moisture is in the clip in bit itself? Leave it in a bag of rice overnight maybe?
I'm not so good with the advice  ... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment???

Shouldn't be.. Didn't actually steam the radio! Was probably the air/heater knobs. Gave them a blast. I'm guessing there is a fuse or something in the head unit. It makes noises like it is powering the CD player, but no lights on it when dash lights are on.
