Dropped it in for its 90k service. Quoted $1450, less front and rear diff oil replacement. A lot better than the $2200-2400 quote I got from the closer dealer - who I hate with a passion.

Though, somehow they ordered or were delivered the wrong belts, so it’s in for an overnight stay..

Hopefully they fix the rattle in my rear drivers side door too.

put a transfer guard on from custom offroad. they match my front and sump guards.

Very nice bit of kite, very happy with the quality, ease of install and the price was on point. My brother has a transfer plate from another manufacturer, and while it has copped a beating, i just dont think it is very well designed.

Oh and ordered some Nitto Trail grapplers 265/75/16 from the Tyresales.com.au sale, got them for $190 each delivered. Very happy. now i just have to wait for them to be delivered

Came back to the Tri from shops to find some low life had scraped into the side of my tub! No note of details or apology.

Obviously premature thinking yesterday that I've cracked 218k without any real incidents.

Fitted roof racks to the cab and canopy.

I went with ProRack S-Wing because I had them on my previous car and liked them.

As you can see, the cab and canopy bars don't line up but that won't be a problem for me as I'll usually be only using one of each. I don't think Pro Rack sell spacers to raise the front bars.

Good one Mitsubishi...

Does Mitsubishi (or the dealers) not supply through bars?

I bought the bars from an Ebay seller who is significantly cheaper than the usual bricks and mortar retail outlets. It's easy to work out on the ProRack web site what bars and mounting kit you need for the cab. An email to their sales office helped me sort out what I needed for the Carryboy canopy.

The cab bars are the type that attaches to the factory mounting points. To fit them, you need to drill a hole through the plastic trim strip that covers the mounting points. Be aware that there is a metal reinforcing rib in the strip, which will send your drill awry. Also note that in order to line up with the mounting points, the hole does not go dead centre in the strip.

I didn't ask the supplier to, but he supplied the sets "keyed alike", which is handy. Or maybe there just aren't many different keys and I was lucky.

Fitted the solar panel to the roof and all tested and works a treat.

I also had another failure on my turbo to intercooler hose, second one so far and after some investigation decided on a complete set of replacement silicone hoses. Mitsibishi wanted $230 for the oem.
No more problems again I’ve been assured.

Good work, Ken. You'd better get some grommets for those wires passing through the plate, though. As they are they'll chafe through and short in no time at all. ;)

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Got it back last Thursday after Mitsubishi repaired what turned out to be a broken collet and a bent and jammed valve.

Just in time to go fishing for the long weekend :D

Finished installing switches for rear and side lighting.

Also connected a 2.4Ghz remote switch so they can be turned on remotely or via switch (found this handy on a recent trip away).
