Triton V Hilux Drive comparison

I think old mate had already decided Hilux was his favorite before he even got behind the wheel.

can someone who has test driven these vehicles recently attest that the Hilux is larger in the back seat than the Triton? :? :? :?
This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

Lol have a look at how far he has the seat back in the Triton compared to the Hilux, no wonder he is cramped in there!

Sounds like this guy hated both cars equally? That's how I read it.

Triton isnt as large in the back as the hilux.
But the seats in the Triton are more comfortable in my view.
i tried out both the 2013 auto hilux (4 speed auto) and the 2013 triton... Hilux i felt was over priced

Is he old enough to have a license never mind do 4x4 comparisons :?
I would also think that with the $15 extra you have left over after buying the Tri you could get the plastic upgraded that obviously bugs him, maybe shagpile carpet on the doors...........

 Heard it all before......just another knob writing a review on vehicles he has no clue about.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything important, it's too late to stop reading it.

The hilux may be slightly bigger inside, Toyota having it originally designed in the US - basically making it suitable to accommodate Europeans.

The back seat is more upright which would be tiring on a trip.

Got to be amused by these commentators re interior trims - its a goddam utility vehicle!

Look underneath the two and Triton is miles ahead.

When did the Hilux change cab configuration? The triton has way more rear leg room.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

It ain't pretty being easy!!

We use hilux's at work and I reckon there is more leg room in the triton rear seats than hilux!

A rough translation is "I let a bit of poo out whilst driving the Hilux, please buy the Triton! " :-)

I never take any notice of these comparos im in 2 minds about replacing my hilux and have been looking at tritons online. As they'd have to be the best value ute going.
So today i had 10 mins to look at one in a yard.
the first thing i noticed was the interior trim was very plasticy and grey.... can you get black interior at all?
i dont think the rear leg room is as much as the hilux but the upright is less verticle than the toyota.

I didnt get a chance to drive one so cant compare the engine to the hilux, had a quick look underside of the triton and it seems to have its driveline / tank etc tucked under better than the hilux.
Im told the manual trito is a little laggy but hoping the auto is better.
Is the diff lock available in the glx+?
