Triton on cover of 4wd action

Postby Avenger4x4 on Tue Feb 24, 2009 1:07 pm

Just a question:

Is the owner of the Triton on the cover of the latest 4wd action mag a member? (issue #131) I only ask so I can 'acquire' ( ) some info on his canopy.

Cheers, Jess

Can you scan and post it?
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

If you goto 4wdaction.com.au, then click on the issue 130, then goto the end, you can see a small pic of it, but they say issue 131 is onsale 4th march!

It looks like it is just a shot for the Air Compressor Comparo, so they have just used a shot of the best lookin truck out there for their cover.

My guess anyway, any takers ???

looking at their website, the pic is from the front only so you cannot see the canopy at all.

Jess, I have not used a scanner for years now, Digital Camera with MACRO on and Flash off does the trick, now we know you have one of them.

I just received my copy of the latest 4WD Action, issue 131 and there is a ML dual cab triton on the front and a seven page spread on the Triton.
It does not look familiar to me so not sure if he is from this site his name is Troy Cuthbert and lives on the Central Coast.

It is a very tidy looking truck with Advanti rims, Ultimate sports canopy, Maxxis Bighorn Muddies (265/75/16) and a 2" tough dog lift (did not know they did 2" lift cause of the shudder problem) he also has the problem with the shudder but said fitting softer springs helped the problem i'm gussing that the softer springs did not lift the vehicle as high so it helped reduce the shudder. He is also running a DP chip which gives him 140Kw and 418Nm of torque.

Anyway thats enough info go a grab a copy. Its good to see a triton on the cover and in the mag.

You are all dreaming, 4wd action and all those sort of mags don't put Tritons on their covers little own a 7 page write up :?
I reckon some further research will reveal it's actually and Hi Lux in some sort of disguise ;)

Is it a big pic or just a little one down in the corner with the mandatory Toyota or Nissan as the main pic :?: :?:

Now, now, we are not all that bad!

its not bad for a triton, yeah its nice, but isnt 4x4 action about vehicles that are different not just off the shelf items?

I sent them my vehicle details when they asked on newhilux.net for a hilux to do a story on.....dont know what more they want.

looks like unless you Solid Axle Swap your truck, you cant get into the mag.

anyway, rant over

mmaaxx that comment ( its not bad for a triton ) you should know better than to give a TRITON even that much credit, go wash your mouth out just in case some of the newhilux boys look on here
