I was thinking more along the lines of an extended wheelbase double cab Triton with the clubcab tub.......

I got a price while i was up on the Gold Coast visiting the kids. Let me know what you think of this.
Club Cab,white with flares,tow bar,diff lock,headlight protectors,bonnet protector and rubber mats...cab chassis version..
$37,200 drive away. Delivery first week in Feb 2012...which was my choice.

I haven’t got any firm quotes including accessories I want yet, when I was asking about prices the bloke said there were no "bonuses" on the club cabs yet but if there were at time of delivery (November earliest) he would include it. I assume this means MMA give the dealer an incentive to sell it, and they can do with that what they will.

I assume you mean 2011...

Not far away jeeves. An hour up the Western from Melbourne... At least we can compare prices; I am looking at very similar specs to you. (White, manual, diesel, club cab, alloy tray, Diff locks, wide wheels if I can get them)

4x4 GLX Spec only...So no GLX-R look-a-like Club Cabs unless you build one...

Will be interesting to see if they off the new Wide Wheel pack they are now offering on MY'11 Triton GLX C/C...Doubt it...

I reckon you are better off adding your own wheel/tyre combo. That way you are not stuck with what they have to offer. I am going ROH Track2, because i want steel wheels and these are Aussie made ones, and Bridgestone 694's 245/70/16 Light Truck version. The LT version is fairly different to the Std 694. It weighs around 3kg heavier because it is stronger all round, including the sidewall, and has about 15% more tread than the std 694.
The original wheels/tyres will be used on a boat trailer so i can at least use them in an emergency.
Wheels $97 each, tyres $240 each.

Thats pretty cheap...Are the tyres a HT pattern?

Bridgestone have them for $245 each at the moment. Not sure when the special finishes but i have got this price for 'when i want them'. Well worth a look. Probably about a 60/40 on road/off road tread but a VERY nice looking tyre!!!
Made in Japan and the Qld Ambulance service are changing to them. I've seen a couple of very good wraps for these tyres.
never take for granted what a sales person tells you. Be prepared!! The guy at a Bridgestone dealer on the Gold Coast kindly offered to sell them to me for $279 each. I pointed out that he would do well to read his own catalogue.
He knew anyway. Shifty bugger because people don't do their homework.
To answer your question, i think they are more a A/T pattern than a H/T but am not sure. Apparently, very good in the wet also.

That was one of my criticisms of the MY 10 GLX. 205's just don't cut it.

Yeah the 205's are pretty skinny...I suppose if your a big company "just buying utes" its ok but If it was my personal car i'd trade them immediately and get the flares too...

Active stability control/traction control/diff lock for $450... Bargain. Dont know why the diff lock option was so much dearer on my MN GLX-R?

I'm going to bite the bullet and make a deposit on one tomorrow. Mitsibishi are giving a $1,500 bonus to dealers on Tritons. It is running for November but the dealer thinks it will also go into December. This is a couple of months earlier than i wanted but i will have to make a move.
I will get this....Club Cab,white,tow bar,diff lock,rubber mats,headlight protectors,bonnet protector and flares.
Nothing else to add anyway, thats the full kit :D
Anyone looking for a great Subaru Forester...i will post in the for sale section...it's a great example with lots of goodies on it.

Don't plan to pick it up for a few weeks. Need to sort some money yet. Really i need to sell the Forester but i can do it anyway.
Mods.... :D  ...I have already spoken to ARB and that is the first port of call for the long range fuel tank and breathers for the diffs, transfer case and gear box. I am going to book it in early and wait while it is done then straight over to Eddingtons for a custom steel tray. A 7 foot one, which i think is 2150mm,with a 60ltr water tank underneath and a double battery box to take 2x 120amp deep cycle batteries. This should take a few days and then it is off to have a smick paint job done in 2pack. Hope to have this part all done by xmas.
Then back to Patches in Bendigo for a canopy with inbuilt drop down mossie screens.
Next, back to ARB for a Deluxe bar, IPF 900XS spotties, Warn XD9000 winch and a snorkus.
Down to Top Performance in Melbourne for Koni Heavy track shockies front and rear and new front springs to get it back to OEM height at the front.I'll sort the rear springs later if i need to.
In between....ROH Track 2 16x7 white wheels and Bridgestone 694 Light Truck tyres.
Back to patches to work on the ideas i have for an awning with tropical roof.
I will post some pics as it goes. :D

^^ Nice pic.

Has anyone seen one of these with a tray on the back, or better yet have pics? The factory tray is 1950mm, ideally I'd like it to be around 2200 to carry what I need. Am I dreaming? Very little weight going to be carried, but overhang may be an issue...

i think as far as trays go you are looking at ,

dual cab 1800
space cab 2100
single cab 2400

(except most prefer a 1600 on a triton dual cab)
