Yeah, mine has the same gap. Fixed by packing out the mounting bracket with washers to achieve the desired look. However when I installed my amp, the washers didn't go back in and to be honest I don't notice the gap all that much.

Today I burnt a DVD disc with mp3 music, now I have 1024 songs on the go !

I tried a dual layer DVD disc but the unit didn't like it and said disc error.

Anyway lots of music

The other option is a SD card but I had trouble last time I tried for some reason.

I just bought a bigger capacity ipod on ebay. I gets 4402 tunes on a 32gb ipod.

I had never thought to use a DVD before for music. A very good idea.

I went the ipod option as I could only squeeze 700 odd tunes on a CD in MP3 format and I couldn't get the SD card to work.

Don't worry mate

I have tried several SD cards with no satisfactory results, Must be a glitch in them somewhere.
I got one card to play but it struggled to load up the music next time around so I ditched it.

Anyway the DVD has most of my music on it now so I am happy 8-)

Even though it isn't supposed to work, I have a 32GB SD card and loaded a whole pile of MP3s into a folder on that. The player found it straight away and works a treat.

The folder might be what the Digoptions looks for, I just dumped the mp3's onto the card....

Old habits die hard. There used to be a limit to the number of files in the root of any drive so always put stuff in a separate directory - keeps it tidy anyway. They were individual MP3s, but I think albums would work. have to try that.

All SD cards are FAT, CD. Enables cross platform reading i.e. WinCE, Windows, Linux.

Fat32 only or fat16? Have had to look at a few different formats recently - it's quite surprising how many different formats there are.

All my USB's are FAT32...

Windows XP is FAT32

I have tried dumping individual MP3's and albums onto both SD and a USB. Had some success with the albums on a USB once, but couldn't get it to work after that.

I have been thinking for sometime that it has been a SD/USB format issue for a while. I'll give FAT format a go, have been using NTSC as is the standard windows default format option on my laptop.

Thats the secret of electronics. When they make them they put all the smoke in, you just have to stop it from coming out. Once the smoke has escaped... thats it! No more workies.
