The speed sensor overide simply fools the MMCS into less than 4 KMH One snip, some solder and in my case plug it in. Fit the override switch to a blank and jobs done!

dont wont to go hacking the harness to find out
the inventor of this has used smoke and mirrors electronicy to get the job done.

Yeah a few of us have them. It is more than a switch as it replaces the speed pulse with a pulse for a lower speed. I think Keith is still around, but he changed the name of his business and has always been woefully slow. If we had someone in qld who could go and see him you might get better results. He had a kit with a wireless trailer camera that would operate in motion that looked pretty cool.

I looked into this once and found a Japanese kit you could buy. It went one level further and actually intercepted the GPS too and inserted a stationary signal to that part of the mmcs. I have some notes on it somewhere if you need details. The wiring was a lot more involved though.

in an easy version no you cant use samsung and a mmcs to play music
there was a cable for the older ipones but that is it
mmcs is really a over priced piece of CRAP that plays dvd and gps maps that is it
usless waste of time and mitsubishi ripped everyone off with the shitty interface where some cars got features and some not.
sorry rant over

Should work with the aux audio connection in the centre console box.

I didn't have much joy finding that disc. I did however find a version 20 Subaru maps disc which functions as per usual so far. But no trip functions at this stage.

If I could get the v18 disc I wonder if you could sort of splice the content from the two discs into one working copy?

i have it and didnt do anything
i think that the v18 with the can intercepted into the back of the mmcs might get some where
but beeing can i think the mmcs will have to be enabled (activated so the can has a address of what it is)
as such so the can knows it is there
still looking and thinking
i am going to add the can wires to mine when i get a chance
very busy at moment

ok so all who have this bought over ride gizmo
when you flick the switch does the speedo go to 0 ans once fidling with the switch flick it back and speedo comes back??
reason i ask is i just made my own override works great except that little hicup of speedo turns off when in use...
if that is it then im happy as i dont wont to watch movies and crap just wont to have functions while moving..

No the over ride does not interfere with the speedo. It intercepts the speed pulse wire and sends a new pulse equivalent to a speed of 2kmh to the mmcs.

You mean a Bluetooth to 30 pin Apple music receiver? I've got one of them. They're surprisingly good. The only limitation is you lose the touchscreen control from the mmcs as it's sort of a one way deal.

From the ipod I can, but not from Bluetooth.

Mind you the one I was using cost me about $5 from a supermarket somewhere so I shouldn't expect too much.

I have one of the 160gb ipod classics for the glovebox. It has over 20,000 songs on it, some of which I've still not heard, so I don't really "need" to change to bluetooth. But since when has "need" had anything to do with how I modify my Triton.
