Hey guys

I am wondering what spotlights do some of you use? Is there any certain brand that stand out or are most good quality?

cheers

I use Roo Lites 180mm mate....lightforce copy and work just as good if not better for half the price. Lightforce are fitted to the work trucks I drive and they are ok, not worth double the cash though.

I have the Narva 225s also.($299 delivered to my door) with the new type fitting kit.

I got them with the pencil beam but replaced the lenses with broad beam

The only problem is that they move on dirt roads

I run 3 x LF170's with crystal blue filters and the light output is excellent. See my shed pic. With LF you can adjust the beam width by rotating the housing which I like - like a torch.

LF and NArva 225's seem to be the most popular.

Ebay also seems to be the best price.

I have the x-ray 220's

http://www.xrayvision.net/

A little bit different. every bit as good as the light force, and probably cheeper (and i prefer the mounts). and the LED's in them make them stand out really well at night

now i just need the cash for an HID upgrade so they match my headlights. mmmmm new 75w+ HID kits

you say new type fitting kit... is that the replacement housing? I just emailed narva about mine twisting on their mounts and they are sending me the new replacement mounts for the 225's free :D .

Mine is the "2010" mounting type......not the ball type. I have done them up tighter than I would have liked and they still move.

I put a neoprene shim under my mounts, 'bout 3mm thick then tightened them up, they've never moved...

Yep I put a piece of bike tyre tube under my lights to stop them moving. The lights have not moved since.

I got some near indistructable from Clark Rubber for mine. But not cause the bracket allows the light to move ( ), but for a bit of cushining on the bracket where it mounts onto the fibreglass bar.

I am running the Roo lights - 220... Went them over the light force as they are cheaper, and on previous 4x4 i had light force and got sick of the cost of replacing them from Animal strokes etc.. All 100kmh hits..

The roo lights throw some good light - they do wobble abit though. other than that well worth the money...
