Just a little notice
Narva 175 made in .................... SWEDEN
Narva 225 designed in ................ SWEDEN

Here you can buy the 225's xenon with built in ballast in the lamphouse, €385 each
Do you have them with factory xenon overthere

Seems all you lot know a bit about the spotlight types. Anyone got opinion on IPF Extreme Sports - I have them and they certainly light up road signs to the point of a blinding reflection

Only opinion I have is that I've heard they can be prone to rusting.

Mine have rusted horribly but they're the chrome ones - which I think only come in a rectangular shape.

I got a pair of 170 Striker Lightforce on mine so far so good. Awesome to be able to adjust beam from spot to spread by turning the body.

So I may or may not be currently looking at driving lights/spotlights. Just out of curiosity more than anything. I like the look of the Narva 225s (its nice and sleek) 8-) and the LF XGT 240s or whatever they want to be, however, those LightForce are RIDICULOUSLY expensive... :o

But has anyone seen or heard of these before? I think they look quite nice, and they claim to be quite good. Just wanting peoples thoughts...

I bought the 225's and if I had my time again I would have saved more and got a pair of Hella 4000's.

The ones you linked to, I believe, were started by some people who used to work for LF.

Pretty sure there is a thread about them on newhilux, although I don't know of anyone with them.

Godzilla, the Fyrlyts are a great light, but if you think the LF are expensive these will knock your socks off. At around $700 a pair, for halogens  , I would go with the LF or a HID set of somesort.

Really? The guy I just spoke to said $590 for the 24v system with transformer for a 150W light. The 12v system, which is 100W, was $490.

Just an option anyway as I look into things...ideas, so many ideas!

What's the problem with the 225's motoz.... :?:

Godzilla I have the hid XGT's and would recommend them for rough conditions, they don't move on the rough roads once the mounts are done up tight and have taken a few roo hits without damage.
I had to rotate the mounts to fit the ARB bar which makes them sit a bit proud out the front but also gives them some room to move in a hit.
Had them on almost 3 years now without a prob.
I haven't tested any of the other brands so can't comment on them.

I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with them though there not the best light I've ever owned. My old Cibbie Tirini Apollo's were the best light's I've ever had. Unfortunatly some A-hole thought he needed them more than me and although only got one they have since been discontinued.

OL had one on display though they wanted $380 for it :o

The Narvas do the job and since retro fitting the 55w H.I.D there a lot better though I don't think they perform as good as my mates Hella 4000's in std Halogen. The spread beam has a funny pattern and I'm finding it difficult to get them aimed properly. Although the HID puts out more light there is a hot spot in the center then the light disipates quite quickly. I know I'm being bit of a light snob though I know what I like.

I tried to go with a cheaper option though with the cost of the HID kit on top of the 225 price for bit more I could have got the Hella's.

Recently purchased a set of Cibie Oscars- hadn't seen much info on here about them, but seemed to have a pretty good reputation from what info I could find.

At about 180mm, they are big enough to do the job I want without looking too big mounted on the nudge bar.

That's the most important part right there, with me the "bounce" factor was important and corrosion resistance...
At the end of the day you have to sit behind them and deal with any faults that might bug you, it also depends on how you will use them, like will they mostly be used when you have had too much fun wheeling and left a bit late so the last couple of hundred k's are on the black top on the way home or are you pushing big k's to get some where in a hurry...ect

I reckon this sounds like a good excuses to do a SA night run to check all the diff members options Godzilla... I reckon motoz has just found a nice little spot to do it to....
