If your front diff has the actuator (earlyish MN's did) there is a workaround involving keeping the front diff in 'freewheeling'
mode. I haven't really looked into this too much so don't know the specifics.
If you don't have the actuator there isn't really a way without
modifying the transfer case. I have looked into my easy select transfer and it could be be done by making a dual lever setup and by removing a lockout detent between the shift rails within the transfer. Super select transfers are probably similar but I haven't had the chance to verify.

You would need to remove item #38 to allow the H-L shift fork to move independently from the 2wd-4wd shift fork. And sort out your lever somehow (Dual levers would be my choice)
