manual to auto ? possible

Postby Bubbalucci on Wed Apr 22, 2009 6:12 pm

Just got hold of a bit of a smashed up triton panel wise for a ridiculous cheap price and was wondering can you change the manual transmission to auto ? what would it cost aprox?
mrs has fallen for the old girl and prefers auto (can only drive auto)

shit, sorry bubba was just having fun. 4 replies just havin a laugh at me.

Seriously I don't see why not if you've got the whole driveline & computer from the auto the only difference is your tailshaft centre bearing & I think the auto chassis doesn't have the cross member that it sits on, but I know someone here has changed their easy select manual to a one piece tailshaft with no probs that I know of

I did the tailshaft change over and you just unbolt the centre bearing and put a one peice tail shaft in but I still kept the manual If it was me I would teach her how to drive a manual because if she wants your car she can change not the car lol
