"try and get the diff flange and the gearbox faces even."
More clarification needed why for the not so technical minded please GLX-R.

Why won't the tailshaft mods work?

The Tailshaft guy said that the angle of the diff flange and the angle of the gearbox face (say the spline with the tailshaft removed) should be similar within 3 degrees if possible. As if one angle to much greater then the other it can cause the uni to create a vibration.

The tailshaft mods won't work firsty because having a slip joint and the factory yoke without the centre bearing can cause one spline to slide fully in and in-turn could cause the yoke to slide out of the gearbox.
Secondly a double cardon joint has 2 uni to remove vibration but having the cardon joint at the gearbox end then a 1 piece taishaft it just creates a more gentle curve and it won't increase clearnce near the cross member.
