Engine goes into limp mode when running at 110 kph

Postby pcook29 on Sun May 14, 2017 1:54 pm

Hi all,
I can drive all day at 100 kph.
When I speed up to 110kph, the car will after 5 ks suddenly lose most of its power.
It will still drive but have no grunt.
It is a 2012 mn triton 2.5 turbo diesel, with 60,000 km on the clock.
The power will return if I slow down to 60ks.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Pete

Just noticed oil of some sort leaking from the pipe going into the rear of the egr cooler.
Could this be a problem?

Thanks for the advice.
Dealer reflashed the ecu.
They forgot to check the oil leaks.
They quickly rushed it back to the workshop and degreased the engine.
Have to take it back in a week.
