Is it too early for a beach run?

Postby Racer on Wed Feb 25, 2009 7:56 pm

Heading up to Tea Gardens with the Mrs for an overnighter....The Triton will have about 1300ks on her then...I intend on stopping at One Mile Beach and probably jump on for a drive...

Have I done enough K's to prevent any overheating or damage?

Racer, remember have your pump with and drop your tyres down, I always find the sand up there softer than stockton so I always go lower, 14psi/15psi, stockton for me is 18/20psi, sometimes even 25psi, anyway thats me and what suits me to how I drive.

I will be running along Hawks Nest, not One Mile as originally thought...

Appreciate your feedback guys...I will only have a footpump with me so I will get it to a reasonable level before finding a servo....

Well

Headed out to the beach at Hawks Nest...dropped the pressure down to 16/17psi, whack her in 4HLC and she cruised along without a drama...pulled up at a spot and had lunch with the Mrs....there was a few soft spots about......

At the end I pumped it up to 25psi with the footpump before heading to BP at Tea Gardens back to 32psi.....gave her a hose down at the BP with the pressure spray....there was some sand tucked up under there...

I was trying to think of a polite way of saying that lol
