Removal of rear tub

Postby Stapler401 on Wed May 06, 2009 11:46 am

Hey,

Swapping my plain jane jobbie for a glxr unit.. I have had a pretty good look, but is it safe to say there are only two bolts towards the back of the chassis holding the tub down?. plus a screw near the fuel filler. I can see a few place finders towards the front. But no other bolts.

Anyone?

Have a look inside the tub. From memory they have a lift out rubber plug that covers the front bolts. There are definately bolts at the front and rear.

Thanks for the help guys, you are spot on about the bolts,
Just so it is in writing for anybody else in total there are 8 bolts holding the tub in, 6 in the chassis, with 4 of them behind the axle and accesible from underneath, two at the front under the rubber plugs. and 2 that bolt to the chassis from the very front of the wheel arch..

oh.. and an extra one on the fuel filler line,

Dave
