I won't be making any stubbs soon - some retard drove the cutting tool into the jaw of out lathe on Saturday day shift - bent the entire carrier and broke it's drive gear...

hey silver thanks for the photos
if u get a chance could u take some of the mounts on the back of the stainless bar , what wall thickness is the stainless
have u noticed the tyre moving around at all like say on sum bumps or sudden moves
would hate for it to flex and touch the tailgate
great work by the way and thank you for your help

hi silver i saw these when you first posted them and it inspired me to start my own project but i just noticed that you had made the tow hich into the mounting bar and was wondering if you had to get engineering for that or not as that is exactly what i would like to do on mine because the factory towbar is so low to the ground its rediculous

Sorry to hijack this Triton thread.
In the process of making my own swingaway wheel carrier myself. I am using a Formula Off Road bar. Here is a couple of pics of my progress.
Wanted to keep the option of opening the back window on the canopy while the swingaway was in the closed position..

Been mucking around with angles on the wheel carrier and it been chopped up and tacked up again to get it right.
GLXR Silver can I ask how you how or which way you went on latching the swingaway to the towbar.
I understand if you dont want to surrender ideas to a lux owner... :) :) :)
ATM I am usng a G Clamp to secure it into position. Ive got a few ideas up my sleeve but any help woud be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hey there sorry for the late reply as haven't been on the furum for a while.
The latch i used for the spare wheel holder was a latch used on the tradesmen canopies while is similar to the latches on the black window draw systems.
