ARB canopy rear window sealing

Postby Greedy on Fri Jun 13, 2008 1:17 am

I have recently had an ARB canopy fitted. When the rear window is closed, there are holes on each corner where there is no rubber to seal it on the tailgate. Does anybody else have this problem? Has anyone figured out a solution?
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

It ain't pretty being easy!!

Same on my MK, never found a satisfactory solution other than not pointing the hose at the hole when washing

I have driven on some dusty roads and the holes do not seem to let much dust in.
Im sure if you were driving in the middle of australia it would be an issue.
Have not worked a fix yet.

Yeah, I had the same problem. I went to Clark Rubber and got some 25x12mm foam and shaped and stuck it to the brackets. It keeps water out at car washes now! 8-)

I have the same holes but have never had any problems with them.

They face downwards so I've never had any water enter.

I don't get any water in unless I aim the hose at it.
I wash my car every now and again at the local manual car wash and I sometimes get a little splash of water in side the tub.

Here is a pic of how I sealed the gap on my canopy's rear window. As you can see by the dust, it does the job.
