Replaced rear step; covering holes?

Replaced rear step; covering holes?

Postby Seana on Tue Mar 15, 2016 10:21 am

I know I saw it on the boards a long time ago, but I've had a good search and can't find any reference to it now.. so wondering if somebody can help me out.

After a recent accident I've replaced my MN rear step and factory grader with a TJM RB6 (couldn't be happier). Problem is now I've got these obvious holes (where I guess the rear step bolted through. Just wanted to see if anybody had any good cover-up ideas. Looks like it's 'incomplete' according to the wife.

Cheers Sean

Or the little black plastic things they fitted to the povvo packs. Or maybe they're rubber. Either way.

No specific thread, Sean, but quite a number of references to the problem and various solutions in this search:

I used 3 plastic clips. (each side) The ones you use to hold the inside of your wheel arch plastics. Had to buy some replacement ones after snapping off the originals. Only a few bucks from banggood.com

Looks ok I reckon.

I got some small coach bolts and bolted them though the holes then painted the heads with touch up paint.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions, a set of red reflectors from supercheap for $10 did the trick nicely (thanks ag911).

Might also help the next idiot see my invisible triton before he ploughs into the back of me...
