Didn't know where else to place this.

How are you guys finding the paint jobs on the Tritons?

I've been a bit disappointed how easily it marks.

Finger nail scratches behind door handles, scratches from straps, when tying up gear on the ski bars, vegetation marking side panels, etc.

All my other vehicles have performed better on in the paintwork department.

How about building up a good layer of wax polish to help protect the paint?
I thought that was standard practice with 4x4's so the scratches polish out?

The toyota I had for a year takes the record for thin paint, far more vulnerable that the white on the Triton.

What colour is it?
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

Its the Gun metal.

Sometimes wonder whether the body armour kits the Yanks have for their 4x4s ( or in Yanking talk SUVs ) aren't so dumb.

Saw these kits a few years ago on a site where they have covers to go over the doors, guards, etc to prevent scratching.

I know... at the end of the day bought the vehicle to go where no car dares.

Re polish. I used the new ICE polish from Turtle Wax - really good at not leaving white stains, if you get any on the plastics.

I remember years ago well before I was into 4wding my boss had a brand new top of the range gq that he used to go off road in and when I asked if he was worried about damage he replied "when you buy a new 4x4 factor in another $2000 on top of the purchase price for a respray when you go to sell it".
