I have 16 inch genuine alloys on the MN and I suppose it is a 16X7 Steel spare slung underneath
My question is if I fit 265 x75 x 16 Mud Hogs to my vehicle and then want the spare the same will it in that size fit the steel spare and still go underneath the vehicle ?
Thanks

It will physically fit.
BUT.......if you have it on a steel rim the centre hole of the steelie will be larger than the alloy wheel.
Hence the little thing on the end of the chain of the spare wheel holder, that fits the centre hole of the rim, will be to small.
Some people have made a spacer for it.
Or fit an spare wheel mechanism off an MK triton......they have a bigger centre hole.
The MK triton one will bolt straight up.

He's talking factory steely (from what I can read) so no change required there
Might pay to double check rim width though. My ML was a 6.5" steel spare (from memory) and tyre fitters didn't want to put 265's on it.
